Three keynotes on leadership, trust, and what actually connects a team.

We share 99.9% of our DNA. Almost everything that goes wrong at work lives in what we build on top of the 0.1%.

Story-rich, high-energy keynotes that leave the room energized, aligned, and ready to lead with more humanity.

Why Jay

In today’s fast-paced, often disconnected world, leaders and organizations struggle to build authentic, people-centered cultures where teams truly thrive. Too many workplaces run on revenue and beating the competition instead of trust, respect, and shared humanity, the conditions where people feel valued, inspired, and empowered to grow.

That’s where Jay comes in. With a background spanning leadership, finance, and culture transformation, he brings a real-world, results-driven perspective that bridges personal growth and leadership excellence, helping individuals reach their full potential while strengthening the organizations they lead.

A misread tone becomes an assumed intent. An assumed intent becomes a character judgment. A character judgment becomes a culture. Jay calls it difference inflation, and he can show a room exactly where theirs is happening.

Days later, people in our community are still talking about his words and how they have already begun making small but meaningful changes in their lives. Jay didn’t just give a talk; he sparked a movement toward intentional living and deeper relationships.

Refreshing, funny and thought provoking. He took a topic that can be dry and uncomfortable and made it come alive. He is a wonderful storyteller.

From the moment he took the stage, he completely engaged our audience. Long after his session ended, people were still talking about his message throughout the rest of the conference. We’d welcome him back in a heartbeat.

Thoughtful, engaging, and highly relevant. He challenged us to rethink connection at work and in life. We would recommend Jay to any organization looking to strengthen culture, engagement, and trust.

Signature keynotes

Three talks, one throughline: our shared humanity.

Each keynote is tailored to your audience and can be delivered as a workshop, breakout, or virtual session.

Leadership developmentCulture, trust, and how teams actually connect.

Building What Connects Us

“Busy” culture keeps people at a distance. Using LEGO® bricks as a metaphor, Jay reveals the truth that changes teams: a single brick is nearly useless alone. Its power is unlocked only through connection.

Through hands-on play and honest conversation, audiences leave with a practical way to trade reflexive interaction for real presence, and a framework for building trust that holds.

Key outcomes

  • A 3-step practice to replace reflexive interaction with real presence
  • The LEGO framework for building high-trust culture, brick by brick
AI and transformationFor the room already arguing about AI.

But What Do You Actually Think?

Every organization is deploying AI into moments that were never information problems. They were connection problems. Jay is neither the futurist nor the alarmist already on your agenda. He runs his own business on these tools, which is exactly why he can tell you which moments a leader may hand to a machine and which ones are theirs alone. Best programmed as the close of day one.

Key outcomes

  • A working rule for what may be handed over and what may not
  • The specific touchpoints in their own week where AI is quietly costing trust
  • One touchpoint each leader commits to re-humanizing before the next quarter

Executive and peer-advisoryFor retreats, peer groups and partner-inclusive evenings.

Nobody Signs Up for Leftovers

The talk executives hear and then drive home in silence. Most leaders spend their best self at work and hand what is left to the people who signed up for their whole life. Jay names the gap without shame, and gives a room a way to close it. Built for executive retreats, peer advisory groups, and partner-inclusive evenings.

Key outcomes

  • A question to ask at the threshold of a room before walking into it
  • A repair sequence for the relationships that have been absorbing the leftovers
  • An honest read on which version of them the people at home are getting

Ways to work together

Built for your format.

From a mainstage keynote to a hands-on team day, in person or virtual.

Those are formats. This is the path. A keynote is how an organization meets the work. A working session is where a team does it. A program is what changes how they behave six months later. Most people start with an hour, and the ones with a bigger problem tend to recognize themselves somewhere further down.

KeynoteA high-energy mainstage talk, tailored to your theme and audience.
WorkshopInteractive sessions that turn ideas into team habits and tools.
Panel & firesideCandid, story-driven conversations on culture and leadership.
VirtualThe same energy and engagement, delivered to remote teams.

Questions planners ask

Before you book.

What topics does Jay speak on?
Three signature keynotes, one per buyer category: Building What Connects Us on leadership development, But What Do You Actually Think? on AI and transformation, and Nobody Signs Up for Leftovers for executive and peer-advisory rooms. All three run on the Just Human philosophy and its three connections.
Does Jay speak on AI?
Yes. But What Do You Actually Think? is a keynote on AI adoption for leadership teams, about which moments a leader may hand to a machine and which ones are theirs alone. Jay is neither the futurist nor the alarmist already on your agenda; he runs his own business on these tools.
How far in advance should we book?
Most events are booked three to six months out. Shorter timelines are often workable, so ask, especially for virtual sessions.
What does a keynote cost?
Fees depend on format, audience size, location, and how much customization the session needs. Send your event details through the contact form and you will get a straight answer with no back and forth.
Does Jay travel?
Yes. Jay Boykin speaks at events nationwide from Colorado, and delivers virtually for distributed teams.
How customized is the talk?
Every keynote is tailored to the audience and the theme. Jay reviews your goals beforehand and adjusts stories, examples, and takeaways so the room hears its own situation, not a generic script.
What do you need from us on the day?
A wireless lavalier or handheld microphone, a screen with HDMI, and confidence monitor if the room is large. For LEGO Serious Play workshops, table seating is required.
Can a keynote become a workshop?
Yes. Every talk has a working-session version, and there is a longer program format for teams that want the behavior to stick past the event.
