This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It covers jayboykin.com and is written to be read, not to be survived.
Short version: nothing is collected unless you type it into a form or a chat. There is no advertising, no tracking pixel, and nothing is sold.
Who is responsible
Jay Boykin, LLC, Colorado, United States. For any question about this policy or your information, write to jay@jayboykin.com.
What is collected
Information you give directly
- Contact form. Name, organization, email address, event date, event type, and whatever you write in the message field.
- Event enquiry form. The same kind of detail about an event you are planning.
- Newsletter signup. Your email address, and your name if you provide it.
- The assistant. Whatever you type into the chat, and any contact details you choose to share in it.
- Booking. If you book a call, the details you enter with the booking provider.
Information collected automatically
Standard server and security logs kept by the hosting and security providers below: IP address, browser type, referring page, and time of request. These are used to serve the site and defend it against abuse, not to build a profile of you.
What is not collected
- No advertising cookies, no retargeting pixels, no ad networks.
- No sale of personal information, and no sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- No accounts, and no passwords stored on this site.
Why it is used
- To answer your enquiry and plan an event with you.
- To send the newsletter, if you asked for it.
- To keep the site running, secure, and reasonably fast.
- To meet legal and tax obligations.
Services used, and what they see
Running a website means using other companies. These are the ones involved, and each has its own privacy policy:
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and security. Sees request data and IP addresses.
- Web3Forms — delivers contact form submissions to email. Sees what you submit.
- Tally — the event enquiry form. Sees what you submit.
- Kajabi — newsletter signup and delivery. Sees your email address and subscription activity.
- Roam — the booking tool behind “Book Jay”. Sees your booking details.
- YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode) and Spotify — embedded players. These load only when you click play, and at that point the provider may set cookies and see that you watched or listened.
- Buzzsprout — podcast hosting, if you follow a link to an episode.
- jayboykin.ai — the on-site assistant. Your messages are processed to generate a reply.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies of its own. Embedded players and forms from the providers above may set their own cookies once you interact with them. Your browser settings control those.
How long things are kept
Enquiries are kept as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of the working relationship. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the footer of any issue. Server logs are kept for the short periods set by the providers above.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal information held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to jay@jayboykin.com and it will be handled promptly.
Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights under laws such as the Colorado Privacy Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or the GDPR. Those rights are honoured regardless of where you live. There is no sale of personal information to opt out of.
Children
This site is meant for a professional audience and is not directed at children under 13. No information is knowingly collected from them.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and sits behind Cloudflare. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive personal information through a web form.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the date at the top will change with it.
